Finally! I downloaded the new release and installed it on a few test boxes and I must say the Gentoo boys did another great job! smooth and stable just like all others.

Tomorrow I test the LiveCD and LiveDVD.

Are you tired of looking at that huge blue font dialog popup when ever you use your
volume control media keys?

I know I am, so here is a patch I made to fix that until I make a more customizable editor.

This is a patch for KMilo 3.5.X part of the kdeutils package.

I like the gorilla tactics these students used to get faculty interested in Free Software.

Currently I am planning a similar strike: Mass distribution of material and installation cd’s to learning institutions in Tijuana, BC MX.

The plan is simple, distribute to any willing High Schools and Collage Campuses, if you want to take part, please contact me.

“GPL version two has been used now for sixteen years. Over the years, we saw various reasons to change it. Two years ago, we decided it was time to start seriously working on this and get out a new version. We realized it would take time. I set aside several months to work on GPL version three in 2005, so as to prepare the first draft that was released in January 2006. We have just published the third discussion draft and we’ve decided to wait for sixty days and then prepare what we hope will be the final draft for the last bit of comments before the final draft.” ~RMS

I just read it and I must say, I like it.

I am still having some SIGHUP’s on some of the points of view my self but as soon as the final draft comes out I will be glad comment.

End to DRM?

It seems EMI has decided to remove DRM from it’s music distributed via multiple platforms such as iTunes.

Single tracks will have a $0.30 USD increase.
Full albums will be the same price.

Both will have higher quality and will be DRM Free.

A good step, I can honestly say I thought I would never see the day,

Well it’s April 2… so it can’t be April Fools…. or is it…. if so me and my pagan ancestry find that offensive.
