I wanted to get the new KNotes layout out before the big freeze coming up, I still need to allot time and effort to get the code cleaned up and add much needed improvements.
This following screen shot shows the new layout in all it’s glory.
* What you may not notice is that the Size Grip is no longer set as the Editor’s Corner Widget,
I had some problems getting that to work well on Qt 4.
* KNote now uses actual Qt Layouts to split the components inside each note.
* The note close button is larger and responds to hover and mouse down events differently.

Is it possible to link notes to each other like in Tomboy? It would be an incredible usefull feature. Eventually a graph of notes is a kind of mind mapping.

Well everything is possible at some point and time, I will look into how Tomboy handles this feature.

Hi! First of all, I _love_ KNotes and was asking if in KDE4 the user can set the background of the note to: transparent (preferably, in %s). That would be really neat :).
Thanks for the great app again!

I agree with Batiste. Linking to other knotes is great. I would prefer a hyperlink sort-of approach, where it can be made to reference outside objects too, like websites, mailto refs, shortcut’s to files, shares, etc. I think there’s a KDE object that facilitate’s them all. Konqi uses it in it’s addressbar ;-)

Thanks for the great program. I also would like to have the ability to select backgrounds. I would put a grid there, like engineering paper.

how is it possible to set transparency of notes in knotes. i am using kubuntu gutsy.
on windows, i use stickies from zhorn software and transparency is supported from windows xp onwards.
without transparency i have to keep moving the notes around a lot.
